Michigan Notes DETROIT, Mich., May 28. William. G. Kelly, assistant to clerk of scales Frank M. Otis, Sr., reported that 42 riders are now registered at the Livonia plants jockey scale room. Bobby Curran checked in for the Michigan season and he will race Desdemona Isocrates, Up Here, Jamitchie, Gold Sabie, American Plan, Destructive, and Masterson at. the MRA track. Eddie Miller, general manager of the Jackson Raceways, where a successful harness meeting is in progress, was a visitor at the Detroit track today. After the close of the Jackson session, Miller will report for duty at the Hazel Park course. Louis Horowitz sent word, that he will arrive here Tuesday with the eight-horse stable he has been campaigning in Maryland this spring. I. Prickettt registered Ariel Sweep, Reil Banjo, M Cork, Cafe Singer, Donnadooon, and Choice Bit after the horses arrived from Maryland. The unit is bedded down at -Hazel -Park and it will campaign here under the silks of TVi. and I. Prickett. ~ Jockey C. L. Martin stated that Edward "Blackie" Ferris will handle his riding engagements at the MRA course. Ferris also is to look after apprentice Russell Gaud-reaus book when that popular reinsman checks in from Garden State Park. Gaud-reau recently received a 90 days extention of his apprentice allowance, due to injuries sustained last year and this spring. Trainer Cecil Locklear, who conditions the Buckley and Locklear Stable thoroughbreds, is due here Friday from New Jersey with several members of the unit. WillaTd Proctor is looking after the local division of the establishment until Locklears arrival.
