Quiz Song By PALMER HEAGERTY Staff Correspondent DELAWARE PARK, Stanton, Del., June 7. — Greentree Stables Northern Star and William G. Helis, Jr.s, Roman Fair finished in a dead heat in this afternoons featured St. Georges Purse, being timed in 1:10%, which constitutes the fastest six furlongs of the current session. Six lengths farther back in third position came Palatine Stables Quiz Song, with Unification, stable-mate of Roman Fair, in fourth position. Clear, pleasant weather greeted a crowd of about 10,500 and almost everyone managed to cash a wager in the feature, Northern Star paying .20 and the Helis entry, .70. Ted Atkinson came down from New York to drive Northern Star to what was his first success since being acquired by his present owner from Mrs. Esther duPont Weir in a much-discussed transaction. The winning rider on Roman Fair was" Sam Boulmetis, who figured in last Saturdays Brandywine Handicap dead heat between Cochise and Post Card, having ridden the latter. Lost Rider in Last Start Roman Fair, a son of Roman — Fairday, made his seasonal debut last Friday and, after being backed into six-to-five favoritism, stumbled and lost hisjlder at the start as the ground broke from under him.
