Local HBPA Division Calls Meeting for This Evening WASHINGTON PARK, Homewood, HI., June 7. — Harold Hoffman, secretary-treasurer of the Horsemens Benevolent and Protective Association, has issued the following notice to members of the organization: "A general division meeting has been called for Friday evening, June 8, at the Washington Park clubhouse dining room immediately after the last race. This meeting is called to protest the notice that appears on Page 9 of Arlington Parks first condition book, and is also on badge and registration list." The protested rule would bind horsemen, in consideration of Jl their" having been [gfantiedrstallsje-touffcept tfle iforse* fandna stake schedule for the entire meeting impending; make no demands for changes or modifications of it; refrain from taking any action that would prevent the running of races; vacate their stables within 24 hours, if such action is taken, and accept liability for "any damage or losses accruing to the Arlington Park Jockey Club, Inc., by reason of any violation of this agreement." Hoffmans notice to the horsemen further stated: * "In addition, minimum purses and daily distribution will be discussed. This meeting is of vital importance to all members racing in Illinois. Our national president, Mr. Robert O. Read, will preside and all members are urged to attend. Mr. B. P. Lindheimer, members of the Illinois Racing Board and other jnterqsted parties are also
