BOLD KING, in hand to the stretch, was sent to-the outside for the drive and, responding to strong handling, wore down the leaders to win going away MR. TUCK, in hand and racing within striking distance of the leaders to the final quarter mile, closed strongly but was not good enough for the winner. URGENT lacked early speed, but closed fast. BUBBINS, never far back, reached the lead when settled in the stretch, but tired badly nearing the finish. MR." EDD raced prominently to the last eighth, then weakened. MAD CORD was outrun. GOOD HEAVENS had speed to the stretch and was roughed while tiring during the drive. HOLLY MAC was never a serious factor. ARTLESS was far back throughout. Scratched— 299802 0. K. Doak, 115. FERR0 FOX was sent to the front early, established a good lead before reaching the stretch and was ridden out to increase the advantage. BOLARIS began fast, raced nearest FERR0 FOX after the break, but could not get to the winner when set down through the stretch, just lasting to withstand DOGS UP. The latter saved ground and raced evenly to the stretch, was crowded during the drive when UNITED NATION bore to the inside, then could not threaten the winner. UNITED NATION was in hand early, drifted to the inside when set down through the stretch and tired nearing | the finish. ALPHARA lacked early foot and was never dangerous. HOT CHOCOLATE assumed command at once, raced LITTLE BABOO into defeat before reaching the stretch, continued gamely during the drive while his rider used whip illegally against BORN TO WIN and Jasted to withstand .the .latter. BORN TO WIN, a sharp factor from the outset, moved up boldly entering the stretch, suffered Interference from HOT CHOCOLATES riders whip during the last eighth and could not overtake the top one, although probably the best. MISS DETROIT, never far back, closed well in a sharp effort and had no mishap. JEANETTE could not get to the leaders when hard urged through the stretch. FLEETRIDGE reared at the break, was much used under a poorly judged ride to reach serious contention, then had nothing left for the drive. LITTLE BABOO tired after racing forwardly placed to the stretch. BICKETT was never prominent AIRDROME was through early. ARABY QUEEN, a keen factor from the start, raced GOLDEN BOLT into defeat entering the stretch, then responded to punishment and drew clear. LITTLE XS, on the inside throughout, made .a good bid when hard urged during the drive, but could not get to the winner. D0-D0 raced evenly to the stretch and closed fast when sent to the outside for the drive. GOLDEN BOLT, away alertly, engaged ARABY QUEEN for a half mile, then faltered. BUBBLE GUM stumbled leaving the upper turn, then was unable to reach serious contention when back in full stride. HENNY PENNY began fast, raced prominently to the stretch, then weakened. MON SPEED could not keep up after showing early foot. GOLDEN FLEET was far back throughout. GRACIOUS HEART showed nothing. C0PIT0 raced wide in a dull effort.
