LISTEN TIGER raced forwardlyand may improve. ETERNAL SICKLE could not keep up, nor could SHOWY. GLARING was sore. TEN FORTY disposed of FREE AND EQUAL and GERTIES LAST along the backstretch and drew clear thereafter to be an easy winner. FREE AND EQUAL was no match for the winner, but outfinished the others. JOLIRAB closed willingly. CDUNTER PLOT made up ground steadily. BROWN FOX weakened after holding a forward position. LILLIAN CLARKE caught tired horses. HEDDY B. dropped back steadily. ROMAN FAIR raced lapped on his rival throughout and was up in the final stride to be on even terms. QUIZ SONG raced within striking distance of the top pair to the stretch and weakened.. NEW OXFORD assumed command soon after the beginning, was nicely rated and held his advantage under pressure. MUSIC was always prominent and continued on gamely. CORNWALL, on the inside early, was eased back and to the outside in the vicinity of the three-eighths pole, but lacked a sufficient rally. MYSTAGOGUE rallied too late. EVICTED alternated with SHERRY in setting and pressing the early pace, continued in front under rating after disposing of the latter, then withstood an extended drive. LUCKEY PETE gained a forward position after losing ground early, moved menacingly on the final turn, but could not overtake the top one. KENSINGTON LAD, in close quarters early, improved his position between horses on the final turn, then closed fastest of all from the .outside. QUESTION EIGHT rallied on the turn and hung. CLIVE OF INDIA had a rough trip. MY NELL weakened. MIDYEAR was never a factor. SHERRY flattened out badly. FOX RUN quit, as did BESIEGE. Scratched-26312 Sauchiehall, 119. LATE SHIP moved menacingly from the outside on the final turn, then was no match. EAGLE SPEED raced wide with the pace into the stretch and was impeded when SPRING SCOUT moved over. Gardners claim of foul against the winner was not allowed. GNU raced wide throughout and faltered. FERIAL, after being carried wide early, was rated in front, drew clear when roused on the final turn, then faltered. HIYA POP tried to get out at the first turn. ST.
