Charles to Continue Efforts To Regain Heavyweight Title PITTSBURGH, Pa., June 10 UP.— Former heavyweight champion Ezzard Charles will not let up in his efforts to regain the title and may be ready for action last next month, his managers disclosed today. "In our eyes and in the eyes of boxing experts and millions of television viewers throughout the country, Charles is the uncrowned heavyweight king of the world," co-managers Jake Mintz and Tom Tannas declared in a joint statement. "We feel as do most of the writers at the ringside and television viewers that Charles won his fight with Jersey Joe Walcott in Philadelphia last week," the managers said- Mintz and Tannas added that promoters from Pittsburgh, Cleveland, San Francisco and Portland, Ore., have expressed interest in obtaining Charles services.
