Drayton Arrives Here; Meets With Lindheimer Ross, Delaware Head, Endorses Arlington Park Stand in Dispute HAWTHORNE, Cicero, 111., June 10.— Spencer Drayton, executive secretary of the Thoroughbred Racing Associations and head of the Thoroughbred Racing Protective Bureau, arrived by plane today from New York. The purpose of his visit was not disclosed, but he stated he expected to remain for several days. Immediately upon arrival, Drayton met with Peter J. ODon-nell, general manager of Lincoln Fields and then proceeded to a meeting with Ben F. Lindheimer of Arlington Park and other members of the Arlington staff. While here Drayton also conferred briefly with Bob Laughlin and Al Wells, TRPB agents of the Chicago office. DELAWARE PARK, Stanton. Del., June 10. — Donald P. Ross, president of Delaware Steeplechase and Race Association, yesterday sent the following wire to Ben Lindheimer, executive director of Arlington Park: "We thoroughly endorse your stand against the ultimatum given you by the HBPA. You have always been most generous in your purse distribution and the present attack is absolutely unwarranted. Best regards."
