Sonny Ray Williams Holds To Ak-Sar-Ben Jockey Lead AK-SAR-BEN, Omaha, Nebr., June 10.— , Sonny Ray Williams, the Electra, Texas, hooter, continues to set the pace in the hot jockey race now in the fourth week of the current 35-day race meeting in Omaha. Williams, who has led the rider pack i here since opening week, now has ridden a total of 15 winners, 7 place and 10 show mounts, to earn him a total of 134 points. Ak-Sar-Ben, which will present the winning jockey with a large gold trophy cup on closing day, July 5th, credits each jockey with six points for a win, two for a second and one for a third. Williams is being hard pressed by four ! other riders who have been in the top five since opening day. Johnny Mack Brooks, another Texan, held on to second place with a 15-11-6 tally for 118 points, and Taylor Powell and Tom Osment, Jr., are running a neck-and-neck race for third and fourth place honors. Powell now has 12-12-6 for 102 points and Osment has a 14-5-6 record for 100 points. A newcomer to the top five this week is Henry Manifold, the veteran Nebraska rider, who had a riding double Saturday and boosted his three-week score to 8-3-13 for 67 points.
