i DeSpirito Rides Four More Suffolk Winners Duplicates Mondays Feat With Another Fine Saddle Performance 9 By FRED GALIANI Staff Correspondent SUFFOLK DOWNS, East Boston, Mass., June 10. — Apprentice Anthony DeSpirito put on another riding exhibition today, winning four of the first five races, his feat coming right on the heels of his quartet of yesterday. The Lawrence, Mass., lad won the first race on Great Neck, the third with Ifido, the fourth with Dancing Man and the fifth aboard Lone Pilot. The last marked his fifty-sixth victory of the meeting, and he is now right behind Harold Keene for the leading rider honors of the meeting. In the sixth race he finished third on Top Brass, whoe stablemate, Keeping Posted, was second to the winning Triple Time. The featured six-furlong Fenway race was won by O. L. Fosters Happy Bound, who broke on top at the start of the sprint and outran his opposition from end to end. At the finish he was three lengths ahead of Mrs. G. Sturgeons Miss Revoked, while Starr Ranchs Montmartre II. was third in the field of six. DeSpiritos bid for a fifth victory of the day was foiled when his mount, Idip, finished fourth after trying to pit his speed against the winner in the early running. Happy Bound was the choice of the crowd of 9,323 and returned .00 for to his backers. He accomplished his six furlongs in 1:11% over a fast strip, but through a rain. The day started off bright and sunny, but just as the sixth field broke, it started to rain and kept up steadily. And just as the horses for the seventh race came back to the unsaddling ring, it really came down in full force, whipped by a high wind. It reached gale proportions and it boded ill for the condition of the racing strip for tomorrows Massachusetts Handicap.
