Two Basketball Fixers Plead Guilty in New York Court NEW YORK, N. Y., June 10 UP.— Two basketball fixers suddenly pleaded guilty today during a recess of their trial. The two Jack "Zip" West and Joseph Ben-intende — were joined by Jack Rubinstein in admitting bribing Kentucky basketball players to fix the Arkansas game in January, 1951. The two on trial had just heard Saul Feinberg admit on the witness stand that he was paid for his part in rigging the game. Feinberg displayed a photostat of a 00 check which he said was his fee. Court then recessed, and it did not reconvene. Instead, it was announced that West and Rubinstein, who was scheduled to stand trial later, pleaded guilty to one charge of bribery and one of conspiracy. Benintende pleaded guilty to one charge of bribery.
