Won driving; second and third the same. GALLANT G. I., alertly ridden, went-to the front at the start, made the pace to the stretch under steady rating, then held on determinedly during the drive to repulse HEXTON. The latter, never far back and reserved to the last quarter mile, finished strongly under punishment, but could not overtake the winner, although much the best of the others. SGT. ABE raced well to th* stretch, then weakened. IM DON could not keep up. FONDEST HOPE raced wide through the stretch. IS0CRATES beqan sluggishly, was hustled to reach serious contention, then tired. LEAVEMEALONE saved ground while in hand to the upper turn, drifted to the outside entering the stretch, but straightened up for the drive and, disposing of ANDY JOE, won going away. ANDY JOE, a sharp factor from the start, held a short lead when settled in the stretch, but could not hold the winner. BLENDID MUSIC, never far back, could not better her position when set down through the stretch. MIGHTY MOUSSE was outrun. UPRIGHT beqan poorly, losing all chance. SHARON E. was never a serious threat. KEEN STEP broke slowly. AGUACATE failed to stay after showinq early speed. ADVANCE-CROSS was through early. Scratched—591864 Blue Sickle, 111.
