Bosox Ship Throneberry To Louisville Farm Club BOSTON, Mass., June 10 UP.— Rookie outfielder Faye Throneberry, who started out as the brightest star in the Red Sox youth movement and then faded, was shipped to the minor leagues today. General manager Joe Cronin announced that the contract of Throneberry had been assigned to the Louisville club in the American Association, a Red Sox farm club. Throneberry, considered one of the fastest men in the American League, startcvl out strong with a grand-slam home run in his second major league game, but since then has slipped. He appeared at bat 108 times with the Red Sox and had 24 hits for an average of .222. He hit three home runs, batted in 13 and scored 13 himself.
