I Commission Rulings I Reported to Daily Racing Form PHOENIX. Ariz., June 10. — At a regular meeting of the Arizona Racing Commission, held June 3, the following rulings were imposed: i "The Arizona Racing Commission upheld the following ruling: Rillito Race Track, Tucson, Ariz., March 15, 1952 — It is the order of the stewards that War Allies be disqualified and placed fourth for interference, and shutting off the field during the running of the sixth race this date, and the appeal of the owner, Ramon G. Michelena, was denied. "The Arizona Racing Commission upheld the ruling of the stewards in the case of the following Ruling No. 16, Arizona Downs: Jockey Mac Shaw is hereby suspended for the balance of the current meeting and an additional ten days with his case referred to the Arizona Racing Commission for listless rides on Fulval in the ninth race and Russian Chief in the tenth race on Friday, April 25, 1952, and for being disrespectful to the stewards. Jockey Mac Shaw was restored to the eligibility list and placed in good standing as of May 7, 1952. "In the case of Owner-Trainer J. P. Sterger with reference to the ruling of the stewards, No. 18, Arizona Downs, May 7, 1952: The laboratory reports on the horse Ask -Me -Later, winner of the fourth race on Saturday, May 3, and the horse Straight Talk, winner of the second race on Sunday, May 4, having shown the presence of the drug procaine or a procaine-type drug, Owner-Trainer J. P. Sterger, together with all horses owned and trained by him, is and are suspended and the case referred to the Arizona Racing Commission for further disposition. The horses Ask-Me-Later and Straight Talk are disqualified from their respective races and re -distribution of the purses is ordered as follows: Fourth race Saturday, May 3: British Pep, first; Blue Chord, second; U. S. Salute, third, and Chrystal Torch, fourth. Second race, Sunday, May 4: Bar Bar Ree, first; Personate, second; Quon, third, and Martins Mack, fourth. Upon evidence showing that there was no intent to defraud and that the drug procaine was given by a veterinarian in suspension of penicillin commonly used, without being warned by said veterinarian, was used for the minimum period of ninety 90 days, placing Owner-Trainer J. P. Sterger back in good standing as of Aug. 3, 1952. The transfer of the horses Ask-Me-Later and Straight Talk to a competent trainer is hereby approved by this Commission and said horses are hereby placed back in good standing and are eligible to race as of this date. "After careful and due consideration, the application of George D. Muller, D.V.M. for a license to practice within the stable areas of all racing meetings under the jurisdiction of this Commission was denied."
