GROUND FOG made the pace from the start, held on well when challenged, but could not resist the top one. CANTERBURY caught tired horses. FIRST WHIRL had no excuse. LANDLORD tired. LIFTER was through after a half mile. FROST BITTEN trailed under snug restraint, failed to respond when shaken up leaving the turn and was eased up and came out of the race very sore.
