Hit by Flying Plate MEMORIAL PARK, Brush, Colo., June 10. — A freak accident occurred here Saturday afternoon when jockey Clifford Jacobs was injured and had to cancel the remainder of his mounts. He was astride Sun Special in the opening race and during the running of this contest one of the horses threw a shoe and it hit Jacobs in the face, cutting and bruising his profile.
