INTERMITTENT, steadied close to the pace and on the outside, moved up when roused to gain command and drew clear under urging. LITTLE AUD, a forward factor along the inside, was steered outside on the final turn, engaged for command, but was not good enough. CREWHALL closed with good energy between horses. LITTLE HARP, slow to begin, worked his way up along the rail, loomed as a threat entering the lane but failed to respond. MERRY ZAC went evenly. GAY weakened. BER MAR BOY showed an even effort. BLEMISH, reserved close to the pace while between horses, moved willingly under a drive and outfinished HATTIES GIFT. The latter swung outside for the drive and was catching the winner. ASTEROIDE, close up on the extreme outside, had something left for the final furlong and held on tenaciously. IRISH TALE saved ground throughout in a geed effort. PHARAPOISE established the pace until the final furlong and weakened. PRINCE ORLEANS rallied mildly from off the pace. DARING MATE had no excuse. ROMANTYPE raced close to the pace for six furlongs, weakened and pulled up lame. STOP AND THINK showed nothing. SATIRE, resedved close to the race, rallied to engage for the command, but was not good enough. ARLETOD, in hand to the final quarter mile, carve through along the inside, lacked racing room and was forced to i- ing out while making up ground. SWEET SANTJY finished with a belated rush.
