Nine Slated to Compete In Ascots Oberlin Purse Anagazandra Expected to Rule Favorite Over Her Rivals Today ASCOT PARK, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, May 14. — The rains have ncme once again to northern Ohio and the race track being knee-deep in mud, trainers were quite slow in entering their charges for tomorrows sport. However, early in the afternoon Ra leigh Leigh closed his entries and put together the best possible program under the circumstances. Going into the twenty-fifth day of the 44-day meeting there have been only six fast tracks. The feature will be known as the Oberlin, where the well-known university is located. It has drawn a field of nine going six and a half furlongs under allowance conditions. The field shapes up as follows: the Eddie Moran trained entry of Claridge and Maripam, Time Sabu, Kentucky Comet, Sea Weather, Rehearser, Anagazandra, Nightingale and Little Father. Anagazandra, from the barn of Charley Bachelor, will probably be the favorite at post time. She has had several very good races over the track and in her last essay wound up third to Poised Valley, beaten four lengths. Poised Valley is one of the fastest horses here at Ascot, and there is nothing in this event that comes close to her. Before meeting defeat at the hands of Poised Valley. Anagazandra had compiled a two-race winning streak. Sea Weather comes in here highly recommended. The Cremona Farms color-bearer has been a winner twice at the meeting and should fare quite well in the off-going. Freddy Kratz will probably wind up with the mount on Sea Weather. Nightingale from the large string of trainer Bill Bell must always be considered I as a stout factor. In her only race over the local course, she was third behind Oklahoma Time, a length and a quarter in the van. Rehearser had several good races over i the track in the early stages of the meeting, however, the last time he started, he went off as the favorite and ran a poor face.
