I I I i , Ak-Sar-Ben, HBPA Reach j Agreement on All Points Minimum Distribution of 90,000 Set in Series of Friendly Meetings AK-SAR-BEN, Omaha, Nebr., May 14.— All questions between horsemen and the management of the Ak-Sar-Ben race track pertaining to this years meet which starts next Tuesday have been amicably settled in a series of friendly meetings, it was announced today by Allan S. Higgins, regional vice-president of the Horsemens Benevolent and Protective Association. In keeping with its announced policy of "better purses for better horses," the association has agreed to distribute a minimum . of 90,000 in purses, compared with last , years distribution of 12,000. The associa-: lions plan to split any stakes or handicaps i which have sufficient entries is expected to i further increase this amount. Serving with A. S. Higgins on the regional committee for the horsemen were M. R. Latimer, Tom Westrope, Omer Hall, Lee Bush, Guy Shultz, L. O. Lane, Jim Hern-don, Bud Ray, Ed Luther, Earl Cowey and R. E. Stewart, secretary. Dr. H. L. Lindy, vice-president of the Michigan division of the HBPA, represented the national purse committee of the association. General Manager J. J. Isaacson and Director of Racing R. A. Leigh represented Ak-Sar-Ben.
