May 14.— Nominations are to close at midnight Friday for two major races to be renewed during the coming two-day meeting of the United Hunts Racing Association, scheduled for June 18 and 19 at Belmont Park. The 0.-000 New York Turf Writers Cup. a hurdle handicap at about one mile and three-quar- ters and the 5,000 Temple Gwathmey Steeplechase Handicap at about two and a quarter miles are the richest events on the calendar, and by closing time most of the top jumpers in training are expected to be named.
