All Is Well Takes Milkman Purse at Garden State Park [ OBrien Guides Speedster To Length and Half Score Over Play Toy; Ruthred 3rd By WILLIAM C. PHILLIP Staff Correspondent GARDEN STATE PARK, Camden, N. J., May 14. — A. Levinsons All Is Well, although idle for almost a year, put his best speed forward here this afternoon and all was well for the few in a crowd of 16,469 who collected 9.40 after his triumph in the featured Milkman Purse. The honors went to apprentice Charles OBrien, who brought him to the end of the six furlongs over a fast strip in 1:10% to register by a length and a half. John L. McKnights veteran speedster, Play Toy, held on fairly well after being displaced by the winner entering the last furlong and he was a length in front of Mjs. E. Mucklers Ruthred. Eddie Yowells March Brat was fourth and W. J. Waldens Circus Clown, the favorite, was fifth. Races Close to Pace All Is Well, a five-year-old son of Helio-polis and Jamae, raced in closest attendance to the pace from the beginning under OBriens alert handling and there was no doubt as to the decision when he settled down for the drive. The race was without serious mishap, although March Brat had a little trouble getting through on the rail and Jack Jr., racing for Mr. and Mrs. R. C. Markus, was in close quarters at the far turn. J. S. Phipps Pleiades, a sophomore son of Isolater who tangled with many of the better youngsters at New York last year, ran six furlongs in l:ll3/5 to capture the supporting feature, the Butler Purse. The Max Hirsch-trained racer profited from a saving of ground under the piloting of Charlie Burr and drove to the wire a neck in front of Happy Hill Farms Prince Regent. He was slightly favored over that rival and paid .40.
