Announce College 53 TV Grid Card Eleven Full Games 4t On National Chain NCAA Controlled Plan Also Lists Two Panorama Days For Armchair Quarterbacks NEW YORK, N. Y., June 19 UP. — Heres your 1953 football television program, as announced today by the National Broadcasting Company. Under the thre-year-old NCAA controlled TV plan, these are the only games to be televised. They include the best — the likes , . of Michigan-Michigan State, Army-Navy, and Notre Dame-Southern Methodist. And there are two unique programs called "panoramas." On these "panorama" days, TV cameras ! will be stationed at four games. A director will watcth the scene on all four. Hell switch only the highlights of each game onto your TV set. This system actually das devised by CBS radio, but thias is the first time its been tried on television. The first panorama day will be October 24. The four games will be Princeton-Cornell, Arkansas-Mississippi, Illinois-Syracuse and Iowa-Indiana.- The next will be No-vomber 7. The games then are Florida-Georgia, South Carolina-North Carolina, Northwestern-Wisconsin and Kansas-Kansas State. Schedule Starts September 19 In addition, 11 full games will be televised, beginning September 19 and going through December 5 with a "bonus" on Thursday, November 26, which is Thanksgiving Day. The fall schedule follows: Sept. 19— Nebraska vs. Oregon at Lincoln, Neb. Sept. 26— Dartmouth vs. Holy Cross at Lynn, Mass. Oct. 3— California vs. Ohio State at Berkeley, Calif. Oct. 10 — Texas vs. Oklahoma at Dallas, Oct." 17— Alabama vs. Tennessee at Birmingham, Ala. Oct. 24 — Panoramic: Princeton vs. Cornell at Princeton, N. J.; Arkansas vs. Mississippi at Memphis, Term.; Illinois vs. Syracuse at Champaign, HI.; Iowa vs. Indiana at Iowa City, la. Oct 31— Minnesota vs. Pittsburgh at Minneapolis. / Nov. 7 — Panoramic : Florida vs. Georgia at Jacksonville, Fla.; South Carolina vs. North Carolina at Columbia, S. C; Northwestern vs. Wisconsin at Evanston, HI.; Kansas vs. Kansas State at Lawrence, Kan. Nov. 14— Michigan. State vs. Michigan at East Lansing, Mich. Nov. 21— University of Southern California vs. UCLA at Los Angeles. Nov. 26 — Thanksgiving Day— Utah vs. Brigham Young at Salt Lake City, Utah. Nov. 28 — Army vs. Navy at Philadelphia.
