TOMI BLU, racing in improved form, disposed of HERA LOT after entering the stretch and won with speed in reserve. PRAIRIE KID, away sluggishly and outrun to the last quarter mile, finished strongly, but could not reach his stablemate, TOMI BLU, although much the best of the others. HERA LOT took an early lead, set the pace to the final furlong, then weakened. SISTIME, between horses during the stretch run, tired. NAGS HEAD was outrun. ORATORY could not keep up. BILLIES ANN took command early, set the pace to the stretch under steady rating, was permitted to swerve during the drive and lasted to withstand KELLYS MISTAKE. The latter saved ground while in hand to the last quarter mile, was sent between horses during the stretch run and closed fast, but could not overtake the winner. SPEEDY JET, a keen factor from the beginning, was bothered by the swerving BILLIES ANN during the stretch run and faltered when near the finish. ROMAN SQUIRE tired after showing early speed. OUR SUSAN was never dangerous after the start. JEEPMOND had early speed, but failed to stay. BIG DEDE was through early. Overweight— Billies Ann, 2 pounds; Jeepmond, 1; Big Debe, 5. MOCK BATTLE saved ground when outrun to the upper turn, moved up steadily thereafter and, responding to punishment during the stretch run, disposed of BUTTON SHOES and won going away. The latter took an early lead, set the pace until inside the stretch and held on resolutely, but could not withstand the top one, although easily best of the others. REAPING LOVE was unable to reach the leaders when set down through the stretch. HELWAN saved ground from the beginning, made a mild bid when hard hustled approaching the stretch, then failed to stay. CHAR BOOTS took an early lead, set the pace to the stretch while engaging QUEENS CHANT, raced the latter into defeat and held on gamely during the drive to withstand DEALER. The latter, in hand to the last three-eighths mile, finished strongly under brisk handling but could not overtake the winner. GRANDAD lacked early foot, saved ground during the last quarter mile but could not get to the top pair. ATTENTION SIR was outrun and had no excuse. MARTHA PAULA, rank at the 73 post, moved up boldly on the outside approaching the stretch but could not reach the top pair when hard ridden O during the drive. LILAC, outrun early, finished fairly well under urging. ERRA B. was outrun and had no 3 mishap. LOVELY LOUISE began slowly. SLUMBERLAND took an early lead, set the pace for three-quarters mile while engaging DANCE LIGHT but had nothing left for the drive. INTERFERE was never dangerous in a . dull effort. MIGHTY MOUSSE tired. JANE FORST was through early. MIDYETTE pulled up lame.
