BIG POP, never far back and well handled, took command approaching the stretch and, after establishing a clear advantage, held SUN HALO safe. The latter raced evenly for a half mile, closed strongly but could not overtake the top one. PAMARIS began fast, drifted out at the stretch turn, came again when straight for the drive but faltered near the finish. CONQUERANT saved ground throughout, lacked racing room during the final furlong and could not get to the leaders. DJYMY lacked early speed. BOLD BANDIT had a. rough trip. CHALLAGUERRE was outrun. CUB raced well until inside the stretch, then faltered. ELLSTON could not keep up after displaying early speed. UNCLE BRUCE began slowly. DUSTY W. was never prominent. RANQUELITA showed nothing. INKY RACER, in hand to the last ■ three-eighths mile, reached the lead between calls before entering the stretch, responded to strong handling during the drive and wore down ANTELONE in the last strides. ANTELONE, forwardly placed from the start, took command when settled in the stretch and held on gamely, but could not withstand the winner. PHAROS DREAM lacked early speed, but finished fast in a good effort. HALS CHICK was unable to threaten the leaders when set down through the stretch. LUSTY, a sharp factor to the stretch, failed to stay when set down for the drive. ATTENTION MAC was never dangerous. MISS MIM JR. raced prominently for a half mile, then gave way. GAY TEN took an early lead, set the pace for five-eighths mile, then weakened and pulled up sore. Doily Double on the First and Second Races Paid 5.40— Double Pool, 0,398. CROSS WAVE, forwardly placed while racing nearest FLYING TASSLE to the stretch, assumed command when ready and, drifting out while ridden out, and retarined a clear margin to the finish. . BILLS HYGRO lacked early speed, closed strongly under brisk urging but could not reach .the winner. NOBILITY, away fast, made a bold bid entering the stretch but faltered when set down in "the drive. IN MY BONES was outrun. BLEND SAND was never dangerous. FLYING TASSLE, rank at the post, unseated Jockey Madden and was returned to the paddock for a substitute rider, began alertly and set the pace for a half mile while engaging CROSS WAVE, then gave way. ETERNAL SHOCK, a keen factor from the outset, raced nearest JERRYS GEM to the stretch, took command during the drive and held NUMERICAL safe. NUMERICAL gradually worked way forward, closed strongly under brisk handling but could not overtake the winner, although much the best of the others. SUB FACTOR raced wide to the stretch, was sent to the inside for the drive and finished fairly well under punishment. JERRYS GEM took an early lead, set the pace for three-eighths mile while engaging ETERNAL SHOCK, then weakened. ST. JUDE could not keep up after showing early speed. MAKE A NOTE was never dangerous and raced wide through the stretch. STREET SCENE had brief speed then drifted out while tiring.
