C, June 19.— President Eisenhower has told President Syng-man Rhee he is holding him personally responsible for the release of anti-Communist Korean War prisoners, Congressmen were informed today. Egypt Celebrates Republic CAIRO, Egypt, June 19. — Crowds thronged the streets today celebrating the newly proclaimed Republic of Egypt with "strong man" Gen. Mohammed Naguib the first president. An end to the monarchy dating back 5,000 years to the days of the Pharaohs was proclaimed last night in a radio broadcast. McCarthy rejected the idea of a bodyguard or special protection, today in spite of an alleged Communist plot to murder him. He said firmly he never had re-■ ceived any special protection from police or the FBI, had not asked for any, and did not plan to request it now. Red Terror in Berlin BERLIN, Germany, June 19. — Soviet authorities today invoked mass arrests, secret police terror and propaganda appeals in a desperate effort to crush a three-day revolt vof anti-Communist East Germans that Russian tanks, guns and summary firing-squad executions have failed to curb. Foreign Parcel Post Rates Up WASHINGTON, D. C, June 19,.— The Post Office Department announced today a 7,000,000 a year boost in international parcel post rates, effective August 1. The increase is designed to offset a current operating international parcel post deficit of about 7,000,000 the increase will apply to surface shipments, not to international air parcel postdates. Swedish Group to Korea STOCKHOLM, Sweden, June 19.— Swedens first group of truce supervisors will leave for Koreakearly Tuesday, it was announced officially today. Col. N. M.
