JERRYS BEST was taken under steadying restraint after settling into a clear lead, drew away when ready on the final turn and continued well to hold MILLDALE safe. The latter, reserved for a half-mile, saved ground rallying on the final turn, then hung In the last stages. BELTON BOY was slow to respond, but closed well through the stretch. BLUE DANUBE and MIRABEAU faltered when put to pressure. BROTHER GHOST was outrun and hampered by a loose bandage the final stages. Belton Boy claimed by Mr. and Mrs. R. C. Malcus.
