See Kentucky Day Prog ram RIVER DOWNS, California, Ohio, June 19. — In addition to Wathan Knebelkamp, chairman of the Kentucky State Racing Commission," and Attorney-General J. D. Buckman, Jr., many prominent Kentuck-ians attended the races on Thursday at River Downs, honoring their home state. Jerry McNerney, turf editor of the Louisville Courier-Journal, and Marvin Gay, Jr., of the Louisville Times, were among the newsmen present while Lexingtonians Dudley Burke, Steve Banahan, Edward McGurk and Miss Rebecca Edwards rooted for a home town representative in the Kentucky Owners Purse. Those from Louisville had the most to cheer about in this feature as Beeler and • Shuks Lacuna took down top honors to the edification of Bob Ewan, Jim Paddock, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Mitchell, Mike Black, Dave Porter, Wallace Bateman and a host of rooters from Louisville.
