Stewards Rulings DETROIT RACE COURSE, Livonia, Mich., June 19. — The board of stewards issued the following rulings here today: v "Jockey William McCadden is suspended 10 days for rough riding in the fifth race, June 18, 1953. He will be eligible to ride July 3. "Jockey Hiram Tackett is suspended 10 days for crossing the field too sharply leaving the gate in the second race, June 18. He will be eligible to ride July 3. "Apprentice Patrick Quinn is fined 0 for repeatedly striking his mount between the ears with his whip during the running of the sixth race, June 18. "Trainer B. H. Wise is fined 5 for being 10 minutes late to the paddock with the horse, Bubble Gum, for the first race, June 18. "Trainer R. C. Utz is fined 5 for being 10 minutes late to the paddock with the horse, Poes Poem, for the first race, June 18. "Trainer Eual Wyatt is fined 5 for being 10 minutes late to the paddock with the horse, Sun Idol Boy, for the first race, June 18. "Jockey Lawrence Hansman is suspended for the balance of the meeting for grabbing the saddle cloth of the horse, Sun Idol Boy, in the first race, June 18, while astride the horse, Poes Poem." RIVER DOWNS, California, Ohio, June 19. — The stewards today issued the following ruling: "On the report of the state chemist that the saliva sample of Cavalier Trim, winner of the eighth race, Wednesday, June 10, contained nature of Thiamin vitamin B , owner-trainer W. F. Riggs is suspended for 30 days, June 18-July 22, inclusive, for violation of Ohio State Racing Commission rule No. 260, which deals with administration of ui-ternal medication within 48 hours prior to a race. During this period all horses owned wholly or in part by W. F. Riggs or trained by him, stand suspended. "Under the provisions of rule No. 257 of the Ohio State Racing Commission, the purse of the eighth race, on Wednesday, June 10, 1953, is hereby redistributed as follows: First, Boling-over; second, Rough Maid; third, Sonny Brown; fourth Best Air. "Pari-mutuel betting on the race is not affected." SUFFOLK DOWNS, East Boston, Mass., June 19. — By order of the stewards, a forfeiture of 0 has been placed against jockey Emileo Rodriguez for striking his mount, Amulika, over the head with his whip after the finish of the fifth race, June 18.
