Unbridled Seen in Impressive Win Oil Capitol Runs Unplaced in Sprint Landy Six-Year-Old Leads From Soon After Start at Hawthorne on Hot Afternoon HAWTHORNE, Cicero, HI., June 19.— Unbridled, racing in the blue and white silks of B. W. Landy, scored impressively in the featured Glencoe Purse here this afternoon. The contest came sixth on the bill, and Unbridled, second choice in the wagering, led all the way to win by two lengths over Blue Licks, with Bugledrums third, and the heavily played Oil Capitol finishing fourth. A field of six went six and one-half furlongs in the race, and Unbridled, ridden by Al Popara, paid .20. There was no show wagering on the event. Unbridled, with Popara hustling him along, soon went to the front and after going a quarter no horse got within two lengths of him. Bugledrums was closest to almost the finish when Blue Licks came along to take second money. Oil Capitol trailed to the stretch, then went wide, but was going fairly well at the end although not threatening. It was a smart race for Unbridled, who was making his third start of the year, all at this meeting. The weatner today was oppressively hot and humid. The thermometer registered officially 101 at 4:00 p.m., and the heat cut the attendance down to 9,659. Worthy Sis Graduates Worthy Sis, from Paul Serdars Locust Lawn Farm, graduated from the maiden ranks at the expense of 11 other young fillies and colts when she took the first race. The daughter of Parasang was not very prominent in the first half mile but came strongly through the stretch to hold Some Go, the favorite. It was the seventh start for Worthy Sis, who was ridden by Ken Church. Worthy Sis had No 12 postion, as did Sandra Rae, the second winner, and those backing that combination in the Daily Double were rewarded with 60.60. Sandra Rae, an outsider who was making her first start of the year, won in a tight finish in which a half dozen horses were bunched at the wire. The winning reinsman was Sherman Armstrong. American Plan, making his seventh start of the meeting, registered her third victory : j of the session when she tow-roped a small field in the third. With Steve Brooks doing the riding the daughter of Hash was in front out of the starting gate and was never headed. Diane B., a three-year-old who recently finished third to some top fillies here, took the fourth race. The miss, who was a maiden going into the contest, was an odds-on choice, but was required to come from behind Fool Me to take the money. She was good enough to go very wide in the stretch in doing it. Adams was the winning rider. The three-year-old filly Incarnation, ridden by John Heckmann, rewarded her many backers in the fifth when she defeated the second choice, Guy. The latter came from last place to make some sort of a race of it near the end after Incarnation had opened up quite a lengthy lead in" the first six furlongs of the mile and a six-teenthx affair. It was the first victory in four starts here for the winner, who had been second twice.
