ASSISTANCE, reserved off the pace, rallied willingly on the outside under urging in the last three-sixteenths and wore down contention at the end. SARY, steadied behind the first flight, rallied gamely in the stretch drive and was up to best LIGHTNING WILL. The latter raced into a clear lead entering the stretch, but weakened in the final stages. ANKARA was under restraint racing next to the rail and could not find clear racing for the drive. DOUBLE DEALER, briskly ridden vying for command next to the rail, held on well to clearly best the others. CHARMING HOST came, around rivals in the stretch and finished well. WINDSOR KING, taken up at the far turn, was guided to the outside in the stretch and closed willingly. EMORY MAL broke slowly. SIR VALJEAN and QUIZZED quit. ALAPOCAS had the most early speed, was carried wide into the stretch by REDDY RO and weakened. ULTRA SMART lacked a rally. SNOOTY could not keep up. Start good. EARLY LIGHT steadily made up distance racing around horses frcm a. slow beginning and wrested command In the final yards. HAPPY RABBIT assumed command when ready, but could not resist the winner under a prolonged drive., WISE CRICKET, probably best, ran up behind horses entering the stretch, was sharply steered to the middle of the track and then finished gamely. FIRST PEEP held sway into the stretch and faltered when challenged. TALL IRIS lost some distance on the outside. UPLIFT was done early. MOUNTAIN HOLLY dropped back after a swift start, was hard ridden to rejoin the leaders, but put away HOOP MOOD without difficulty and was being taken in hand at the end. HOOP MOOD set the pace with a clear margin into the stretch arid weakened. PIPING GOOD saved ground, attempted to rally with MOUNTAIN HOLLY, but was not good enough. CERULIA was taken in hand behind horses on the stretch turn, then finished well. EMMYDEE could not menace while racing on the outside. TO CASH and WELSH PRIDE were done early. COASTAL LIGHT assumed command soon after the start, held sway under snug restraint and,ssafely in front entering, the last furlong, was eased up for the finish. BRASS RING, outrun for a half mile, had to be taken in hand running up behind horses rounding the far turn, then closed gamely under punishment and outfinished SHINING ON. The latter was prominently placed and weakened slightly. POLEMOS was not a threat. STERLING SON quit badly. BLIMEY stumbled immediately after the break and lost rider. DAMION gradually entered closer contention, loomed boldly in the drive, but could not match the Winner. TOP BRASS set an even pace and held on fairly well under punishment. BEE ARR raced closest to the pace under light urging and weakened. COVER OFF, steered to the inside after the start, was a keen factor to the stretch and then lacked a rally. PICKED, was outrun..
