Stewards Rulings CHURCHILL DOWNS, Louisville, Ky.. May 10. The stewards ruled: "Jockey A. Popara is suspended 10 days for rough riding in the ninth race May 8." FONNER PARK, Grand Island, Neb. May 10. The stewards issued the following corrected ruling: "For failure to control his mount Al Rita coming into the stretch during the running of the sixth race May 7, 1954, jockey Charles Guinup is hereby fined 5.00.
