Prior to the opening of the meeting, the dispensary is staffed each day by a physir ciah and nurse, while during the meeting, three physicians are on duty at the dispensary, while the other two are on call in Wilmington. During training hours in the morning, as an added protection for jockeys and exercise boys, a man is stationed in the stewards stand, high above the racing strip, a vantage point from which he can immediately report any accident which might occur to the ambulance driver stationed near the entrance to. the main track. The second ambulance is stationed at the five-eighths mile training track during the early morning workouts.
