BORESSA saved ground while gradually working way forward to the stretch, was sent io the outside for the drive and, responding to strong handling, wore down the leaders in the last sixteenth. HY FRONT took command at once, set the pace to the stretch while engaging RAMBLING KATIE, disposed of the latter and held on willingly, but was not good enough for the top one. SIR COUNTRY, a keen factor from the start, gave a sharp effort and had no mishap. MARY ELLEN raced evenly and had no excuse. COASTAL GOLD lacked early speed. JANES PRIDE failed to rally when set down through the stretch. RAMBLING KATIE raced with HY FRONT to the stretch, then gave way. DELIBERATE was never dangerous. SMOOTH PALM could not keep up. DOUBLE BOGEY took command at once, set the pace until inside the stretch, but could not withstand the winner. BILLUP gave a good effort and had no mishap. NEVADA JOHN raced evenly to the stretch, was sent to the outside for the drive and, swerving to the inside when punished, disposed of MAHPLAY to win going away. The latter, forwardly placed from the start, reached the lead between calls during the stretch run, but could not withstand the winner, although much the best of the others. RUTHIE S. took an early lead, made the pace until inside the stretch, then faltered. GERRY FRANK, next to the Inper rail during the drive, lacked racing room near the furlong pole. OCEE, caught in close quarters entering the stretch, was taken up slightly to secure racing room and failed to recover. DRr-AL EX snowed nothing. DANDY WAG was through early. TOP FAIR lacked early foot but finished fast under urging. ME PERFECT drifted out at the stretch turn. BIDDY SUE raced with GAMBETTA for three-eighths of a mile, then gave way. CORRECT, forwardly placed from the start, took command from WHIRLS BELL entering the stretch, held on gamely under punishment and lasted to withstand SCALE. The latter, in hand to the stretch, saved ground during the drive, but could not overtake the winner. NEPAL, outrun early and racing wide, was unable to reach the leaders when set down in the drive. HI SKY, taken to the inside after the start and weakly handled thereafter, closed willingly on her own courage. EMERGENCY FREE began alertly, bore out badly until settled in the backstretch, then raced well to the last quarter mile before tiring. WHIRLS BELL took an early lead, set the pace to the stretch while under pressure from CORRECT but had nothing left for the drive. JOE PAGLINA could not keep up. ARABIAN SAND, forwardly placed from the start, raced RED RIVER into defeat entering the stretch and, after establishing a clear lead, lasted to withstand BUCKS FREEDOM. The latter, outrun to the stretch and forced to the outside for the drive, closed strongly under punishment, btu could not overtake the top one. POPS PAL, in close quarters approaching the stretch, could not better his position when clear for the drive. IN FORM gave a good effort and had no mishap. BUMBASHOOT was outrun. RED RIVER took an early lead, set the pace to the stretch under pressure from ARABIAN SAND but had nothing left for the drive. SLINGER made a mild bid in the early stretch, then tired. ALABAMA BELLE had no excuse. THRU WAY began poorly. EL TORO BAM quit. DOLLARGOFAST tired after racing to the stretch. LADY SERENATA showed nothing.
