Braves Mathews Fined Twice; Once by Law, Once by Grimm MILWAUKEE, Wis., May 10 UP. Home-run king Eddie Mathews was fined twice today, once by the law and once by manager Charley Grimm. Mathews drew a 0 fine and costs for reckless driving and a 00 fine from Grimm for violating a midnight curiew. Botrj fines grew out of Mathews arrest about 3 a.m. this morning by patrol Sgt. Howard Haag of the suburban Wauwatosa police force. The Braves have a rule that all players must be in by midnight following day games and as soon as they can eat after night games. The Braves played the Chicago Cubs in a day game yesterday, putting Mathews about three hours over the limit when he was caught. He said he had been visiting Braves pitcher Bob Buhl.
