Horses to Watch Horses who impressed Daily Racing Form representatives as being ready to win: LINCOLN FIELDS STEAK BONE— Former Chicago favorite •who has been showing good form in trials and could be dangerous first out. SUGAR SUE— Was virtually left at the post last out and ran a smasher to be third. WILLIAM MORTON — Could not get going until too late, although he finished fast. FANCY GENT— Overcame much trouble in recent race to be a strong going second. Chance to add to laurels in next. COSENTINA— One to tab when, three-year-old fillies start going over six furlongs. Has good finishing power. LEA LANE — Very fast filly; looks like a cinch to take the Miss America Stakes. CHOMBRO — Throw out last race; was in close quarters several times. May pop up as a surprise. GEMERICA — High-priced colt who was running strongly at the finish of last race. Might prefer five and a half or six furlongs. PENROSE— Seems about ready to get the money; was going strongly at end of recent race. OLD FORGE— Wining effort here was very good and could be a repeater. ADAMS OFF OX— Last race was not his best; should round to form and come up with a smasher soon. RIOT — Cheap veteran who seems about ready to win a race at six furlongs or over, but preferably seven-eighths. DETROIT RACE COURSE HANGOVER Three old — - year - Apache-sired colt turned, in a three-furlong speed test in :34%, handily. DICKS MON— White Stable three-year-old colt looked good Friday morning while working five-eighths mile in 1:01%, handily. TRIUMPHANT— Forrest stable gelding was never better and dockers caught him in 1 : 00% for five furlongs last week. GREATEST— Devereux homebred colt is rapidly approaching peak form; recent morning trials were impressive. MR. DINK — Hard-hitting middle-distance racer gave sharp effort in only local start and appears ready for visit to winners ring. HARVEST TIME— Cheap but useful plater was trifle short in initial Detroit outing and probably will improve off that performance. MISS KNOBVIEW-r-Speedy three-year-old filly just missed in a six-furlong sprint and may have needed that race. COL. CON — Maiden two-year-old comes from smartly-trained barn and soon should earn graduation brackets. MAD HARE — Booker mare always gets her share of purses in Michigan; was beaten a narrow margin in recent one-mile event. WAR BILL — Grandview Stable plater finished willingly in nine-furlong race last week; is capable of trimming same-class field. HAPPY QUEEN— Kosiba Stable four-year-old filly is razor sharp and has been four furlongs over the local strip in AlYs, handily. DAWNEY — Maiden two - year - old miss raced fairly well in only appearance under silks and will be hard to beat with a strong rider up. BELMONT PARK RICO HOMBRE— The manner in which this three-year-old scored in eastern debut would suggest additional future victories if properly placed. DIGNITARY — Two-year-old maiden has displayed high speed in previous starts and should not be much longer in earning initial set of brackets. MATAGORDA — Connections should find suitable spot for this allowance performer in immediate future; works have been impressive. MR. TURF— Recent five-furlong trial in 1:00%, handily, would seem .to indicate this one is ready for top effort. SPINNING TOP — Closed- resolutely in sprint event last time and appears ready for creditable route effort. MIDYEAR — Disappointed last time at short odds, but should atone for that setback at next asking if not too ambitiously placed. HIGH BUTTON — Encountered repeated interference during stretch run last time; merits another chance against similar rivals. CANADIANA— Appeared a trifle short in start behind Miss Weesie. That one may have served as the necessary tightener. CHURN — Juvenile maiden filly has been close up in recent start and appears ready for winning effort. MANDINGO — First start after lengthy rest was impressive. Most likely needed that one to regain winning form. KASTER— Was shuffled, back when starting stretch bid in previous start; merits another chance against similar rivals. COMEAWAY — -This sprinter possesses high early speed and appears ready to turn back 0,000 three-year-old platers. DOMQUEL — Closed with a belated burst of speed in previous sprint assignment and probably would prefer a longer distance. JUNE TIME— Hesitated slightly at the start last time, which probably cost him ► the victory. Tab for future score against ,000 foes. • BEAU GAR — First assignment over a distance of ground over local strip was creditable. Improvement with additional racing is expected. ROCKINGHAM PARK FAMILIAR, — A recent six-panel trial in 1:14% at Suffolk Downs indicates this fellow is at peak and should not be too long in scoring. PARK DANDY— Has been showing steady signs of attaining last seasons form. USUAL — Sid Bernstein has this fellow ready for a winning effort. Has been partial to this course in past seasons. ROSE BEAUTY— This miss has been slow in reaching her peak but recently displayed enough to endorse her chances in near future. MOMBO — A promising juvenile which may score at first asking. MOFLAME— Trained good enough at Suffolk Downs to suggest a winning race is near at hand. OUTWARD BOUND— Morning trials of this one are good enough to expect victory at first asking. IN TASTE— Continues to train smartly despite a poor effort in her last. LUNAR PARK — A capable sprinter who displayed a fondness for the "Rock" strip last season. PARTIDO H. — A Chilean-bred who has been gradually brought along and may prove one of the better handicap horses on the grounds. DELAWARE PARK SPRING GROVE— Credited with a good one-mile trial since arriving from Maryland and seems ready for top effort at first asking. REPETOIRE— Veteran sprinter has raced steadily in a light spring campaign and has breezed well over the track. IMALRIGHT — Seems to be rounding into form and should make an early appear-. -ance at the meeting. WAR KING— Raced, well in two Pimlico engagements and could attain winning form locally. COUNTY CLARE— Turned in the fastest six furlongs of the Pimlico meeting in his seasonal bow and is at peak form. MENEMSHA— Garden State victory is a true indication of this ones ability. Rates with top sophomores. WAITED— Turned in a creditable effort despite being in considerable trouble against non-winners of two. SENOR COATI— Maryland effort, in which he was second to Ladd, figures to put this one on edge. NIRGAL LAD— Was unable to cope with Ladds speed when dropped from a mile and three-sixteenths down to fiveand a half furlongs. ONE TEAR— Maiden juvenile filly who displayed smart speed in recent outing, only to tire in last stages. TRUE BUTTS — Has been sidelined with bucked shins, but should return soon against non-winners of two. DEVIL RUSH — Two-year-old maiden filly raced well in recent debut and should enjoy an early graduation. FAIRMOUNT PARK PRICE-IS-RIGHT— Second last out; has real speed; will be heard from real soon. IDA WIN — Ran good race last out; couldnt handle Tattenham, but watch her in lesser company. JOHN HENRY— Ran winning race last out; with better luck should be right there real soon. LOT-A -FILLY — Watch this three-year-old when in with her age; is smartly trained and will be placed in the right spot. HEART TRUST— Likes off track for best effort. Is in a new barn. RITAS FLYER— Training well and looks good; will be hard to beat when properly placed in the near future. LITTLE ADVICE— Has been training well and seems ready for best effort. RED GRIER — Watch this one; has some class and will beat a cheap bunch any day now. SHILU — Was vanned over to Fairmount to work impressively; if not pitted too high, should click. TIGER TOM— An oldie that is waiting for a soft track. Ran real well first out on a fast track, then disappointed. Play soft strip only. [ CASCADAWN— Got up the other night. Likes a distance; should be a fair price over a route. RAISING SUN— Tab; with better rating should give a good account of himself in the near future. OMAHA BREEZY NANCY— This six-year-old route mare appeared short of a peak performance in lone try here. CARLAS PRUDE— Made his first start this season on Thursday and may have needed the outing. POSITIVE — Could register a surprise tally in near future; had considerable trouble in lone appearance locally. SCOOT BEGGAR — Lacked racing "room or probably would have been closer to the winner at the finish in most recent attempt. ROWDY BOY— Although second by a couple of lengths in debut this season at this track, this three-year-old Yellow Tulip gelding turned in a good effort. SUPER SUE— Made her first appearance under silks when third to Bold Slip on Thursday; appears a capable sort. BLUE SHALE — This juvenile son of Blue Flyer should not be long in graduating from the maidens ranks, judging from his good try back of Bold Slip. SWANEE BOY— Finished a close-up fourth after nearly going down when caught in close quarters on the turn when competing at five and a half furlongs recently. JENNIE HILL — Poor racing luck may have contributed to this ones defeat in first try over the local strip. HIRAM JR. — Indicated his present fitness when turning back the odds-on choice, Mac, in recent effort; appears capable of a repeat tally. SUITURSELF— If this filly maintains a true course in next outing, she should earn a purse competing against the same brand that defeated her by a couple of necks recently. j DUSTY PRINCESS — Displayed good speed in her initial appearance under silks and might hold sway until the end in her next outing. ASCOT, THISTLEDOWN CONFUSION— Turned in a strong effort here on Thursday and may earn set of brackets going a distance of ground before Ascot Park meeting ends. RENOUNCE — Was not abused in his most recent race by jockey Ploof and possibly, under a more wide-awake ride, could be troublesome. BROWN EYED LIZ — Appears to be razor sharp at present and may win another going in a sprint before curtain comes down on current session. JUST ABBE — Ran off six furlongs after ! being involved in a false start on Thursday, then showed nothing. This one figures to do better the next time under more favorable racing conditions. jSHAG TAILS — Has been working very well for trainer Lloyd Gentry and appears ready for a winning race after a long layoff since Randall Park last summer. „ MORO — May prove troublesome in a sprint at ThistleDown against the cheapest possible company. MR. JETT— A member of one of the leading stables to be campaigned at ThistleDown; is working nicely and may be a winner the first week of the meeting. RIGOR MORTIS — At one time a good handicap performer in this area; apparently is rounding* to top form and should not be overlooked in his debut. BIG MONEY — Scored several thrilling victories at ThistleDown last fall, and should take up where he left off. This one is capable of beating any horse on the grounds going five and one-half furlongs.
