BLAZER HORNET went to the front early, set the pace to the final furlong while engaging NIGHT CABLE, disposed of the latter but was not good enough for B. PROMPT. NIGHT CABLE tired after racing with BLAZER HORNET. NOBLE DRESS lacked early foot. GRAND LEVEL began sluggishly. INDIAN BLAZE began fast, but dropped back after the start and raced wide through the stretch. PLEASURE WITH was outrun and had no mishap. HAY MARKET tired during the stretch run. OUR SNICK, away sluggishly and outrun to the stretch, was sent to the middle of the track for the drive and, finishing fast under punishment, wore down the leaders in the last sixteenth. TOP STOCKINGS took an early lead, set the pace until near the finish while saving ground, but could not withstand the winner. STAG gave a good effort and had no mishap. PRY PAT, well placed from the start, failed to stay when set down in the drive. ROYAL BONES could not keep up. FLO D. was outrun. SHORT SIS took command at once, raced CHERRY BULL into defeat before entering the stretch, but was hard ridden thereafter to withstand BETWEEN US. The latter raced evenly and, withink striking distance of the leader to the stretch, closed determinedly under urging, but could not overtake the top one, although much the best of the others. BETHS GIRL, on the outside from the start, finished fairly well under brisk handling. CHERRY BULL tired after engaging SHORT SIS to the stretch. BILLS CAROL, forced to take up soon after the start, failed to recover. HAPPYS SAM tired after racing well to the stretch. MON HOMME was never dangeious. RICHARD raced greenly. SHAMROCK LAD, away sluggishly and outrun to the stretch, was sent to the inside for the drive but was unable to overtake BITSY-BOO. OPOLIS was outrun and had no excuse. The latter, reserved to the last quarter mile, was taken out slightly for the stretch run and finished well under punishment, but could not overtake COLOR GUARD. GULF STREAM, in hand to the last three-eighths mile, moved up boldly during the drive, but was unable to get to the top pair. The latter, hustled to the front early, set the pace to the stretch while engaging EX-GLORIA, continued willingly when challenged by GREAT PARHAM but was not good enough for the winner, although easily best-of the others. ENTHUSED lacked early foot but finished fairly well under brisk urging, JIMINY CRICKET tired while racing in close quarters through the stretch. PREFECT was never dangerous and had no excuse. BERYLDON failed to stay after showing early speed. EX-GLORIA, much used engaging GAMBLER to the stretch, had nothing left for the drive.
