TOY SOLDIER, outrun for the first half, closed strongly on the far outside of the field rounding the stretch turn, got up in the last furlong to take a short lead and drew out under urging in the last sixteenth. TEE-JAY-M forced the pace for the first quarter, then forged to the front, set the pace to the stretch, but gave way under pressure. NOT RUSHIN worked her way up on the outside in the last quarter and finished strongly. MISS OZAN closed steadily while between horses in the stretch. BILL GREEN closed fast while between horses. MISTER CHANCE lacked speed from the start. LADDIE refused to extend himself and dropped back steadily in the final quarter.
