RED CAVALIER broke sluggishly, forged between horses to be prominent, came out for the drive and disposed of LILL L. The latter vied for command from "the start, took command in the stretch and held on willingly but was not good enough. BURGETTE was forced to race slightly wide improving position and closed determinedly. JIM GLENDALE was much used dueling for command the opening half mile and tired. WAR ALLIES was prominent for a half mile and gave way. GINNY WEAVER tired. CHERRY RIPPLE stumbled at the break. GUESSIES DREAM broke alertly, made the pace under light restraint on the turn, drew clear when ready and won with something left. BIG RETURN was a sharp contender from the start and could not menace the winner when set down for the drive. BRIEF DREAM had no excuse. NAVY CHOW was outrun. DONT MOVE stumbled at the start, recovered quickly and moved into a contending position ajong the inside, then tired the final quarter mile. DOT WYMORE tired. CRAIGIE. D. was never prominent. GREAT STRIDE, outrun early, worked his way forward between horses, came out when straightened for the drive and held DINAMICO clear. The latter made up ground under brisk handling, was blocked momentarily at the furlong post and closed with good courage when clear. FLYING MURAL, within striking distance from the start, gained command briefly in the stretch and faltered. KENS- STAR was never far back and showed a good effort. BRUSQUE made the pace until nearing the furlong post and tired. WAR PRINCE was through early. HATTIE STAR flashed speed and quit. A DIXIE STAND lost his rider at the three-furlong post. TEDDYTOI, never far back while saving ground, moved to the leaders on the final turn, gained command inside the furlong post and lasted over GARRYMARK. The latter, probably best, was unprepared for the start, attempted to go through on the inside and was blocked and hemmed in on the final turn, eased back and came out for the drive and closed resolutely. MARY JANE G. raced FREDA MAY into defeat after the opening half mile, held on well for the drive and was not good enough. TWO AND SIX bested tired horses. FREDA MAY was much; used vying for command early and tired. TEAZLE dropped back when bearing out on the backstretch and the final turn. MR. JEAN trailed.
