Bids Requested for Building New Barn at Detroit Track DETROIT RACE COURSE, Livonia, Mich., May 29. — Bids have been requested by the Michigan Racing Association for construction of a new barn to replace the one that burned on the night of May 21. Specifications for the new barn call for it to contain 60 stalls with separate tack rooms and be of modern cement-block construction similar to the bams erected at the Detroit Race Course when the plant was opened in 1950. Action on the bids will be taken by directors of MRA at a meeting in the near future. It is problematical whether it will be completed in time for this season.
