SAD ZAC, never far back, took command with a rush entering the stretch and, though shortening stride during the late stages, lasted to prevail over MAIJO. The latter came fast after being straightened for the drive and rapidly was getting to the winner. HIGH SILVER, forced to take up sharply when in close quarters on the far turn, recovered readily to attain a contending position entering the stretch, but was unable to cope with the leaders. METOPIA closed a gap in a good effort. MARA MOO tired. PREJOLI had no apparent mishap. BLACK POPPY quit. LARKS WAR had a rough trip. TINA LAZAR retired steadily from a rapid start. B1TUM BATAVIA BELLE went to the front soon after the start, gave way to the winner inside the final furlong, but held on willingly to prevail over GOLDEN PRINCE. The latter was Unable to improve his position when hard hustled through the late stages. RETERITA rallied mildly to finsh on even terms with QUICK TOWN. SEA TERM, well ridden, remained within striking distance of the early leaders, came to the inside to replace PAR AMOUR inside the stretch and in a long drive outgamed the latter. PAR AMOUR raced ETERNAL SON into defeat to assume command going into the final hedge, gave way to the winner thereafter, but held on determinedly to easly best the others. CURLY JOE lacked speed. ETERNAL SON tired. TEMPLIER was through early. GAMELLE and THE BEAGLER were always outrun. THE AMERICAN bobbled and lest his rider at the final jump. EARLY LIGHT steadily improved her position to reach the lead at the furlong marker and gradually drew out under brisk urging. THYMUS moved between horses to. attain near even terms with the winner entering the stretch, but was unable to overtake the latter when subjected to stern pressure. GOLDEN ARIA failed to make up appreciable ground. PRISM closed with a belated burst of speed and perhaps would prefer a longer distance. REMINISCENCE III. caught tiring horses. UPSTROKE made a game bid leaving the final turn, but flattened when punished. LONGLEAT and CEDAR JUNGLE both tired. WHITE CLIFF lacked speed. VOLUTE stopped badly after possessing brief speed. FLAUNT, sluggish early, came out for the drive, but was. unable to seriously endanger the winner. CONTY BAY failed to respond when shaken for the final test. ALL AT ONCE, much used early, had little left. BEGORRA saved ground while outrun to the final turn, came between horses to attain a contending position at the furlong marker, but flattened out when punished. BEAU GAR quit.
