Horace Wade Detroit Arrival, To Discuss Hazel Park Plans DETROIT RACE COURSE, Livonia, Mich., June. 4. Horace Wade, racing secretary at Hazel Park, arrived at Detroit Thursday to confer with president Richard A. Connell and other officials of the nearby course in regard to plans for the season which opens July 30. During his brief stay, before flying back to his home in Florida, stall space for the meeting will be allotted, and the skeleton of the first condition book prepared. Wade reported a record demand for room, with stables shipping in from New Jersey, New England, Canada and Chicago, to supplement those already appearing in the area.
