GREY GRANITE, never far back, responded readily when set down through the stretch and, disposing of WAR DOLLAR, won going away. The latter took an early lead, set the pace to the final furlong but was unable to stay with the top one, although easily best of the others. EX-GLORIA, away sluggishly, steadily worked way forward and closed fast under punishment. BONA ETERNAL was unable to better his position when hard ridden through the stretch. REDEAL lacked early speed and was never dangerous. GRANNY D. tired after racing well to the stretch. FAIR STRIKE lacked early foot STAGE LOVER was outrun. SPEEDY GOLD showed nothing. EASY DIXIE had early speed but failed to stay. WILD HEIRESS broke fast but dropped out of serious contention soon after the start COL. MOE LEE was through early. CONNIE-JO gave a fair effort and had no mishap. SUN IDOL BOY tired after racing well to the stretch. RICKSHAW was outrun. DONQUEST lacked early speed. BARGAIN MISS began poorly, losing all chance. EASTER AIRLINE raced wide. PHANTOM HEELS disliked the muddy track. E-TOWN tired badly after racing forwardly placed to the stretch. BETSY MARIE was never dangerous. ULA raced nearest HASTY SUN to the stretch, was unable to stay with the latter but easily bested the others. SPECIFIC gave a fair effort and had no mishap. MUSIC had early speed, tired badly while racing in the deepest going and failed to stay when set down for the drive. CAPRICORNIO raced wide. COCK CROW could not keep up. JET LIZZIE disliked the muddy track and was never prominent. CONQUERANT was never dangerous and had no mishap. TOURNEY, never far back but on the outside, closed willingly under urging, but could not threaten the top one. GAY JOY raced nearest IM EXPECTIN until inside the stretch, then weakened. MON HOMME lacked early speed and was never dangerous. FIRST GREEK tired after racing well to the stretch. ANITA K. began slowly. BETHS GIRL was outrun. MIGHTY WISH had no mishap. SHAMROCK LAD, a sharp factor from the start, saved ground entering the stretch and reached the lead, but could not withstand the winner, although much the best of the others. TEA BISCUIT was unable to threaten the leaders when set down in the drive. WATSEKA could not keep up after showing early foot. MAIDS LIGHT was outrun.
