The latter was well back most of the trip and-when clear closed the best of any. ROBBYS MISS closed determinedly in the final quarter. MISS M. D. opened a clear lead on the turns and then faltered inside the furlong marker. ZORAY closed some ground through the stretch and bears watching. LOT-0-BIM had speed in spots. LEGATE was unhurried while racing in the first flight, moved through while saving ground on the stretch turn and after wresting command was beginning to draw clear. DUKE AUMAR gained the lead a few strides after the start, drew clear along the backstretch, drifted out when tiring while entering the stretch and was no match for the winner. HOT CAKES showed an even effort. CELANDINE loomed a factor in the first quarter and then faltered. EFCEE was never a factor. HOLD DOR showed nothing.
