BILLUP steadily worked his way forward to the stretch, assumed command from TWO BILLS and drew clear under urging. GRAVEL BIN responded well when set down through the stretch, but could not reach the winner. TWO BILLS went to the front early, set the pace until inside the stretch, then faltered when challenged by BILLUP. .KATE G. raced nearest TWO BILLS to the stretch, then gave Way. ACE BOUT, eased back when caught in close quarters at the three-eighths mile marker, could not reach serious contention when clear. SYLBEL, on the outside throughout, tired during the drive. BUY BOOKIE was outrun. CHIC STAR had a rough trip. STAGE RYTHM had early foot, but failed to stay. ROSE AND HOUSE was never dangerous. CHIPS LASSIE had brief speed. WHAT A PEACH raced evenly to the stretch, was sent to the middle of the track thereafter, and, responding readily when shaken up, disposed of the leaders and won with speed, in reserve. PHAROS DREAM, outrun to the stretch, finished determinedly under punishment but could not seriously threaten the winner. SIR WALTER R. raced nearest SOME CHARGE to the final furlong, then faltered. VAMANOS lacked early speed. ALEIF began sjowly. BOLD BANDIT tired during the stretch run. MILLI VICTOR had no mishap. SOME CHARGE took command early, set the pace to the last eighth, then gave way. FLO D., in hand to the last quarter mile, was sent to the outside for the stretch run, disposed of PRY PAT and drew clear when ridden out. POTTERAC, a sharp factor from the start, stumbled entering the stretch, came again when back on stride and was up to finish on equal terms with PRY PAT for second. The latter steadily worked forward, settled for the drive with a short advantage, then faltered, but lasted to dead-heat with POTTERAC for the place. GREAT ADMIRAL went to the front at once, set the pace to the stretch, then had nothing left for the drive. LILS GADGET had early speed, but failed to stay. GLORAT showed nothing. ADMIRALSCRIPT lacked early speed but finished fairly well under brisk urging. SURE TRY was outrun and had no mishap. TRIP NORTH feared at. the break, was hustled to reach serious contention, raced well to the stretch, then weakened. GREY IRON could not keep up. BRIEF BRAND disliked the muddy track.
