Riders Report Lincoln Fields Strip in Improved Condition LINCOLN FIELDS, Crete, 111., June 4. Ike Bassett, mid-western representative of the Jockeys Guild, reported that riders who worked horses Friday morning told him that they found conditions far better than they were two days ago, in reference to track conditions at Lincoln Fields. The management and the track crew have been doing everything possible to get the track, the parking lot, and the grounds in the best possible shape for the Fleming Handicap. Barring unforeseen heavy rains, they an-ticiapte good conditions for the balance of the meeting, which reaches the halfway point Saturday.
