D. Norris. IN GATE-5:30. OF AT 5:31 EASTERN DAYLIGHT TIME. Start good. Won driving; second and third the same. SAM H., cleverly rated, moved to the leader on the final turn, assumed the lead in midstretch under pressure and was kept under a drive to extend advantage. ASCOT assumed a commanding lead in the early part, was under pressure while setting the pace and held on willingly when displaced. CHUSCO, slow to reach best stride, caught tired horses in the final quarter mile. CLASSY CHANCE moved within striking distance after the first mile and failed to menace thereafter. FROM AFAR, prominent in the early stages, weakened. DE SAUSSURE was never a factor. WISE MIKE was through early. BROTHER GHOST showed nothing. Scratched— 20555 John Kaplan, 115; 205554 Reunion, 117.
