ASCOT assumed a commanding lead in the early part, was under pressure while setting the pace and held on willingly when displaced. CHUSCO, slow to reach best stride, caught tired horses in the final quarter mile. CLASSY CHANCE moved within striking distance after the first mile and failed to menace thereafter.
