ASH TRAY, forwardly placed between horses, rallied to engage the leader in the stretch, gained command, cut over sharply to the inside and withstood the late challenge of DEBMODE. The latter, in hand during the early stages, moved outside in the stretch and closed with good energy. SICKLE SUE assumed command along the inside, was under early pressure to maintain the lead, shortened stride when challenged and was taken up slightly as the leader cut over. DREAMER rallied from off the pace. NIGHT DRINKER worked his way up between horses with good energy. BULL HYDE lacked early speed. MYTHOLOGICAL, forwardly placed for a half mile, was unable to reach the leaders and retired. GAME LADY went evenly. BUNDLERAB flashed brief speed. MUSICAL LADY was through after a half mile. BUZZ A BIT, in hand while in closest attendance to the pace, gained the lead after six furlongs, drew out and maintained the advantage under intermittent urging. ISH-KABBLE worked his way up between horses, came inside for the drive and closed with good energy* BUSY EVENING improved his position steadily on the outside. SIRENS RING lacked a closing rally. TABARINA moved up steadily on the outside, drew within striking distance of the leader and lacked a rally in the drive. GOOD-SHOPPER passed tiring horses. BLEMISH was caught behind horses and taken up soon after the start, then failed to reach a contending position thereafter. JACKS NEEN had no mishap. LAVERNE outran the field to set the pace for five furlongs, then tired. The others were never prominent. BOFRANC, unhurried while gaining a forward position, moved readily when roused, overtook the leader after straightened for the drive and drew out steadily. MiSS MIDNIGHT moved up boldly on the outside to take the lead after a half mile, drew clear, saved ground but was no match for the winner. BROADWAY JACK rallied mildly from off the pace. REAL BLUE was never a serious factor. MARILU DORSETT showed nothing. HIGH LAMA was sent into command at once, allowed to step along for five furlongs and retired steadily under pressure. LEES UNKNOWN, unhurried while settling into best stride, began moving on the leaders after three furlongs, came outside in the stretch, responded when put to pressure and drew clear. LYDIA A. was hustled soon after the start to vie for the lead, alternated in setting the pace to the stretch, was unable to draw clear and lasted to outfinish STARRY SKY. The latter was well up and in close quarters to the final turn and closed with good speed. NANGAFF moved up menacingly on the final turn, stayed with the leaders for a sixteenth of a mile and weakened. BATTLE SHAKE was going stoutly along the inside in the late stages. BUZZY NAVARRO moved, into the lead soon after the start, remained in contention to the final turn and tired. PATCHEEN was through early. MARYS TIME was outrun. JIFFY, steadied close to the pace, was steered 1 the extreme outside entering the lane, responded under stout pressure and was along in the final stride to g the nod over PRINTERS DEVIL. The latter, in hand and going easily while setting the pace, shook off the b of SUN RUSHER and just failed to last. SUN RUSHER showed good speed while forcing the pace, came 01 slightly on the final turn, responded to stout urging, but was not good enough. VALENCIANO, sluggish fro the barrier, moved boldly midway on the turns, came to the outside, but failed to menace under light urgin POPS broke alertly, dropped back and was unable to threaten under late pressure. NOTHING YET was takf back early when in close quarters and showed nothing thereafter. JAMES B. was unable to keep up. GAL MORN displayed brief speed and retired. OLYMPIC QUEEN was hustled along the inside assume command soon after the start, drew out, maintained her advantage along the inside, drifted out to t middle of the track in the stretch but had enough left to hold TEDS BULL safe. The latter weaved betwei horses on the turns, charged up boldly on Hie inside to vie for command, but was not good enough. TONE TRICIA improved her position gradually in a good effort. MIST GRAY broke alertly, dropped back, was rous after three furlongs, closed ground along the inside but was never a serious factor. CLAY MOUSE closed i and was forced to ease back slightly, rallied when clear and faltered in the drive. ROUGH SPIN was in do quarters soon after the start, bullied her way into contention and weakened. GAEDAS showed speed for a hi mile and retired. BHARA dropped out of contention early.
