Sun Tan Gal Is Accorded Hi-WeightHandicapEdge Ivan Peats Fast Mare Awaits Tomorrows Post Call at Detroit DETROIT RACE COURSE, Livonia, | Mich,, June 24. — Ivan D. Peats fine mare, Sun Tan Gal, who lost a close decision to Sharbot last Saturday in the Rose Leaves Stakes, is expected to go to the post favored over eight or nine rivals here Saturday afternoon in the ,500 Bull Dog Hi-Weight Handicap. Successful in a pair of engagements at Churchill Downs before her transfer to Michigan, the Peat star, who has high early foot, holds a strong hand for major honors in the fiye and one-half furlongs week-end feature. Sun Tan Gals smartest opposition probably will be furnished by Henry Forrests Triumphant, a recent winner at the Detroit Race Course; Ralph Lowes Pictus and Fred W. Jansons Paytu. Triumphant posted an "eight-seven-four" record last year, Pictus scored in six major engagements thus far this season, picking up earnings of over 8,000, while Paytu sped six furlongs at Churchill Downs in 1:10% for a six-length verdict over a classy field. Sun Tan Gal is pegged at 127 pounds for the Saturday dash; Triumphant will* shoulder 130 pounds; Pictus drew 132 pounds and Paytu was assigned 128 pounds by handicapper Charles J. McLennan. Others expected to answer "Boots and Saddles" for the Bull Dog Hi-Weight are I. J. Collins* Fair Pilot, Thomas F. Dev-ereuxs Greatest, G and G Stables Big Heart, and Mrs. D. L.
