Stewards Rulings FAIRMOUNT PARK, Collinsville, 111., June 24. — The following: stewards ruling, under date of June 12, was reported today: i "Trainer C. M. Whiteside is fined 5 for being: late in the paddock with the horse,-Honest Grover, for the running: of the eig-hth race Thursday night, June 10." WOODBINE PARK, Toronto, Ont., v June 24. — The stewards issued the following statement here today: "Following the running of the seventh race on Wednesday, June 23, the stewards interviewed jockey* Enrico Gonzalez and trainer G. M. Huntley regarding the showing of Scientist in this race. They further asked for and received a post - race report on the horse from the commission veterinary surgeon. As a result of the foregoing, the stewards are of the opinion that Scientist was started when not sufficiently racing fit and trainer G. M. Huntley is fined 0.00 under Rule 226. Rule 226 states that the trainer is responsible for the condition of horses trained by him. It is further ordered that the horse, Scientist, be placed on the stewards list." WATERFORD PARK, -Chester, W. Va., June 24. — The stewards issued the following ruling here today: "On the report of the chemist representing the West Virginia Racing Commission that the urine test on the horse, Lightdown, winner of the seventh race Tuesday, June 15, disclosed the presence of a drug of the nature of procaine and, pursuant to Rule 277, owner-trainer O. Meredith is suspended for six months from June 24. The case is referred to the West Virginia Racing Commission for any further action they deem necessary. During the term _of his suspension, owner-trainer O. Meredith is denied the privileges of the grounds. "The purse is hereby ordered redistributed as follows, Gay Order, first; First Swing, second; Steel Town, third; Moose Delight, fourth. The pari-mutuel betting on the race is in no way affected."
