DEEP RIVER alternated in pressing and setting the early pace, regained command nearing the furlong marker and after giving way momentarily to DASH FOR CASH inside the stretch, came ugain to gain the nod. DASH FOR CASH forged to the front midway the final furlong, then held on determinedly in a sharp effort. ALL IS WELL, away slower than usual, was rushed into contention next to the inner rail, came out for the drive, but faltered as a result of his early effort. ALA-FLASH saved yound to no avail. GUN POINT, in close quarters between horses at the head of the .stretch, failed to rally when clear. ITS NO USE and FAMILY MAN were always outrun. PAPER TIGER, slow to gain best stride, was compelled to take back repeatedly when impeded by the winner during the stretch run, as a result was unable to overtake the latter, but easily bested the others!.
