Long-Distance Runner Dies ST. LOUIS, Mo., June 28 UP. Austin Scott, 29-year-old New York long-distance runner, died here Sunday of a liver infection complicated by exhaustion. Scott was hospitalized when he collapsed after finishing fourth in a six-mile race at the AAU track meet here June 18. An attending physician said the strain of the race coupled with the infection resulted "in complete liver and kidney failure."
